FAQ

  • When I submit a track how long should I expect to wait until I hear back?
Track submissions usually take 3-5 weeks to respond to, but can be faster if submitting for a specific release like a compilation.

  • Do I need to submit a mastered track?
Submissions do not need to be mastered! Just make sure its loud enough to listen and not so loud its distorted.

  • Do I need to pay for art and engineering?
No! WiddFam covers all upfront costs to produce its releases. Releases then pay off this cost then profit is split 50/50.

  • How many tunes should I submit?
Please limit submissions to 4-6 songs initially. More tracks may be relevant after first contact

  • If my tune is accepted will it be on Spotify and digital stores?
All of our music is distributed through TripleVision who provide it to almost every digital webservice for downloading or streaming. We handle SoundCloud and Bandcamp separately on our own.

  • What is the revenu split for releases?
WiddFam splits all Paid releases 50/50 after production (Art/Eng) costs
(Items in the catalogue that must be paid for - for example EP’s / LP’s on Bandcamp)

We do not currently have the structure as an organization to pay artists for tracks released on Free DL’s such as compilations, but we do offer discounts & downloads to artists who release on Compilations and such.

  • My Tune Is Accepted! Now What?
Once your track is accepted, please send a -6db peak pre-master to WiddFam for Engineering.
Then you will coordinate with our staff for art and promotion.
